Getting to Know Ms. Natalie Sikora
Hi there!
I am currently working on a Master of Arts in Teaching program at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. My major area of concentration is English Language Arts with a minor concentration in the area of English as a Second Language. If all goes according to plan I will be graduating in December, 2010. Prior to starting the Master's Program at U of M, I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After having obtained this B.A. degree, I spent some time traveling and working as a freelance writer. I eventually began substitute teaching as a means of income, but realized after a short time that the classroom was where I belonged and felt most comfortable. I have a passion for reading and writing (of many types and genres), and have high hopes that this passion can be passed on through my teaching, within the walls of my classroom. Other interests and hobbies of mine include spending time with my family, photography, hiking, cooking, camping, yoga, gardening, kayaking, scrapbooking, traveling, languages, and spending time outdoors in all of the wonderful seasons that Michigan offers. I was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan and have plans to call Michigan my home for many more years to come. Please view my resume for more information regarding my past educational experiences and endeavors.
